Religious Education News

We have four more classes for Grades 1-8. Our last class is April 30 for Grades 1-8 and May 4 for Sunday School. Please try to get your children here by class time.

First Holy Communion is April 13 at the 9AM and 11AM Masses. Please be sure and take a Prayer Partner from the narthex of the church and pray for one of our students as they receive their First Holy Communion.

Registration for next year: I look forward to ending this year successfully; thank you for all your cooperation. We will be accepting registrations and fees for next year starting April 16. We recommend you register and pay your fee early to guarantee your child’s place and preferred class time. No need to fill out a new registration form; just pay the fee of $50 per child; $140 maximum per family. Make checks payable to Prince of Peace. A copy of your child’s Baptism certificate is required at registration if we do not have it already on file. Please notify the RE department of any changes in your family’s information. Please note that for Sacramental Preparation, a child must be attending religious education classes regularly and have been in a religious education program one year prior to the reception of a sacrament.

Vacation Bible School: “Power Lab” Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power is June 16-20 for Grades K3 through Grade 4. Registrations begin on April 16 and 20. Forms will be available in the narthex of the church by April 20. To volunteer for VBS, call Nancy Chandler 313-3919.
