Email Problems
The parish Email system experienced some serious problems last week. Some of these have been corrected; however there is still some more work to be done. If you have had problems getting Email to us, please call the parish office with your requests. We can assure you that all of this will be corrected very soon.
Sunday Evening Mass at
5:30PM
Effective May 4, 2008
In response to the feedback in the parish survey that was conducted in December, the Sunday evening Mass will move to 5:30PM on May 4, 2008. The majority of those who weekly attend the Sunday evening Mass and the overwhelming majority of those who regularly attend stated that they would prefer an earlier hour.

Reserved Pews for the Disabled
We kindly invite those who because of advanced age or physical impairment may need Holy Communion brought to them at Holy Mass by the priest or other minister to sit in one of the six front pews. These pews have been reserved so that those who may not be able to stand or kneel may still be able to see the altar and ambo without difficulty and to facilitate in the distribution of Holy Communion. The church has been designed so that wheelchairs may easily be positioned next to the front pews in the transept so that family members and friends may be seated right next to you. If for some reason someone is not able to walk down the nave to the front seats, an usher will gladly assist you or open the south transept door for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the parish office.
Concert for
Young Life
Will have a benefit concert for Young Life Capernaum featuring contemporary Christian singers Drew & Ellie Holcomb. All proceeds will go to this young life group for teens with special needs for camp scholarships and to purchase a van with a lift. The concert will be May 3 at 7:30PM in Croghan Hall. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. For more details, call Chris Wade 848-4080.
Virtus Training
According to Diocesan policy all adult staff and volunteers who work with children must have a background screening and attend a Virtus class before working or volunteering in our parish. This class is about 3 hours; light snack provided, and will be held on May 15 at 6PM in Croghan Hall. Please go to www.virtus.org to register. You cannot register by phone or at the door. If you have already attended a class, you do not have to attend another one.

First Holy
Communion
“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad,” was the prayer of our First Holy Communion students this past Sunday. We thank our parishioners for their prayers for our children. We also thank Leslie French and our first grade parents who helped with our beautiful receptions. Everything was perfect! Our heartfelt thanks to the volunteer staff, especially Beverly DeBauche and Jackie Wade for helping to organize and keep things running smoothly before and during the Sacrament. Thanks to our teachers: Stacey Sattely, Susan Smith, Patty Hickey, Kerrie Worley, Danielle Smith, Connie Meiners, Rosangela Dominguez and Stella & Raul Dominguez who lovingly prepared our children. Also, thanks to our parents for all your hard work and prayerful example at home.

Our parish has partnered with three local Presbyterian churches to build a home for a deserving family in Greer. Construction is now in progress and will run most weekends (Friday & Saturday) through June 28. To volunteer in any way, please call Wally Buser at 268-2125 or your may Email him at wally7b@charter.net. There are many ways to join in besides actual construction work!
