Corpus Christi Procession

On Sunday, May 25, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Corpus Christi to celebrate and reaffirm our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. In preparation for this great feast, the Guild of St. Thomas Aquinas (Adoration Chapel Members) will gather to celebrate Solemn Vespers at 7PM on Thursday, May 22, followed by the traditional Corpus Christi procession with the Blessed Sacrament around the exterior of the church. The First Holy Communion Class of 2008 are especially invited to participate and to wear their First Communion finery.

Perpetual adoration

“Cast all your worries upon Him

because He cares for you.”  1 Pt 5:7

Please prayerfully consider adoring weekly for the following times: Sundays 7AM, Tuesdays 8PM or Fridays 4PM. Substitutes are an important and valued part of the continued success of the Guild of St. Thomas Aquinas. If interested, please contact Nancy Mohlman at 458-7674 or Email nmohlman@msn.com. Adoration flowers were donated this week by The Glancey Family in memory of deceased family and friends.

Matthew 25:36  “I was ill and you cared for me; whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”

Isolation from our parish family by illness, advanced age or other circumstances, can lead to loneliness or depression. If you or a loved one will be hospitalized or is homebound, please let us know. Contact the office at 268-4352 and Deacon Gary will arrange to visit and bring Communion. It is important to let us know when someone is released from the hospital to ensure that we transition our contact with that person when they return home.

Are You Registered With the Parish?

Formal registration is most important for many reasons, such as baptism, weddings, funerals and illness. We invite you to pick up a New Member Information and Registration folder and register with our faith community. These folders are in the narthex of the church and in the parish hall.

Why a Protestant Pastor Became Catholic – Dr. Scott Hahn

This amazing testimony of a former Presbyterian minister turned Catholic has become legendary. Dr. Scott Hahn was militantly anti-Catholic but self-driven to seek the truth; which ultimately led him into the Catholic Church. He soon became an ardent defender of the Faith and one of its most passionate promoters. His journey of faith helps us better understand and appreciate Catholicism.
