Welcome to Prince of Peace!

Fr. Steven Brovey, Pastor, with the Most Rev. Robert Baker, Bishop of Charleston

Nestled in the Piedmont area of South Carolina, you will find Prince of Peace Catholic Church.   Founded in 1974, the parish has grown and changed along with the Upstate.  Today our community includes almost 1,900 families hailing for every region of the country and many nations of the world. We are very proud of the ethnic and cultural blend that gives us our unique "catholic" identity.

If you looking for a place to grow and serve, then Prince of Peace is the place for you.  Our parish school (grades K-5) opened in  2003.  In addition, our parish has over 60 active ministries, with opportunities for every age and life situation.   In addition to religious education, music and traditional church offerings, we can boast  a child development center, an active seniors group, a youth ministry,  regular athletic activities, and more.  Our parishioners also serve the larger community through a variety of outreach activities and through the regular allotment of 10% of our weekly collection to local and international charities.

On September 21, 2003 we dedicated our new church building.  Our church seats 1,300, to accommodate our ever-growing parish family (view photos of the new church).

Whenever you are in the Greenville area, we warmly invite you to come and pray with us. If the Greenville area is your home, we hope you will consider becoming part of our parish family.  New members are always welcome for we recognize that our strength is in our diversity. Perhaps our mission statement sums it up best:

Prince of Peace Catholic Church is a welcoming community rooted in the Gospel Mission of Jesus Christ.  Strengthened through prayer and worship, we strive to be a family sharing our time, talent and treasure in Christian stewardship.  We are a spiritual center for all people, through every stage of life, with ministries of service to those in need.
